Cultivate Central started in 2014 because of a single vision – to create urban food gardens that connect children to nature, giving them a space to learn how to grow their own food and to live sustainably.
Guided by the principles of permaculture, which is the concept of building self-sustaining agricultural ecosystems, Cultivate Central creates natural spaces for growing food, learning and community development.
Through various hands-on programmes and activities, Cultivate Central helps children discover nature and nurtures their problem-solving capabilities. Ultimately, the group hopes that families will learn to live more sustainably, and make a positive difference to the world of tomorrow.
